Youth Faith Formation
Anyone who is wishing to receive the sacraments of First Communion or Confirmation are eligible to register for our YFF classes. Each sacrament requires two years of preparation. Students must be in at least the second grade to begin their preparation for First Communion. Students must be in at least the seventh grade to begin their preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Requirements
Requirements for students wishing to receive the Sacrament of Communion are as follows:
- Students must be baptized and baptismal certificate must be on file.
- Students must be in grades 2-8.
- Students must have been in class the year prior. Proof of attendance will be requested if attendance was at a different parish.
- Students will be required to attend all classes.
- Additional fees will apply.
Schedule
YFF Classes are held on Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. at St. Helen School, located at 2347 W. Augusta Blvd.
A parent meeting is scheduled in September to learn more about our program. Parents will receive a program guide as well as a class schedule.
The children are also expected to attend a weekend mass with their family.
Cost
The cost of the classes will be as follows:
- The fee for one child will be $150
- The family fee is $200
- Sacramental fees are $25 for Baptism, $25 for Communion, $30 for Pre-Confirmation, and $30 for Confirmation and are due at the time of sacramental meetings.
