Order of Christian Initiation for Children and Adults

For those interested in becoming Catholic, we offer the the Order of Christian Initiation of Children (OCIC) and the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), formerly known as RCIC/RCIA.


This process is designed for those who are considering joining the Catholic Church in celebrating the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil. The process welcomes those who have never been baptized, are baptized in another Christian tradition, or have been baptized in the Roman Catholic Church and need to receive one or more of the sacraments of initiation.

  • Preparation for the sacrament is a one-year commitment.
  • Ages of 15-17 and preparing for any of the following sacraments: Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation.
  • Dates: October 10th, 2026 -  April 24th, 2027 (Students will receive their sacraments at Easter Vigil on March 27th, 2027)
  • Times: Saturdays, 9:30 am-11:00 a.m.
  • Location: Monsignor Thiele Center located at 1510 N. Claremont Ave.
  • Mass Attendance: Students are required to attend Sunday Mass, preferably with their family.
  • Cost: $175/individual or $250/family




  • Preparation for the sacrament is a one-year commitment.
  • Age of 17+ and preparing for any of the following sacraments: Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation.
  • Dates: Oct. 27, 2026 and ends at Easter Vigil on April 27, 2027 (Participant will receive their sacraments during the Easter Vigil on March 27, 2027)
  • Times: Tuesdays, 7-8:30 p.m.
  • Location: Monsignor Thiele Center located at 1510 N. Claremont Ave.
  • Mass Attendance: All participants are required to attend Sunda Mass
  • Cost: $175/individual or $250/family
