Our Parish & School
History
As of Jan. 1, 2022, St. Helen Parish, St. Aloysius Parish, and Holy Rosary united to form Our Lady of Unity Parish. This decree was announced by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Father Claudio Díaz, Jr. serves as the common pastor of the Our Lady of Unity Parish.
The Parish is Our Lady of Unity that is comprised of three churches and a Parish school.
St. Helen Church
St. Helen Church is a vibrant and diverse Catholic community that celebrates Mass in English, Spanish, Polish, and, most recently, has welcomed a growing Filipino community. In addition to our rich liturgical life, the St. Helen campus is home to St. Helen Catholic Elementary School and our Youth Faith Formation program, which serves elementary-aged children.

St. Aloysius Church
St. Aloysius Church offers Mass in both English and Spanish, fostering a welcoming environment for all. Our church is home to several dynamic ministry groups, including our food pantry, which provides essential support to those in need every week. The St. Aloysius campus also hosts the Monsignor Thiele Center, a thriving parish community center that offers a variety of programs, such as the OCIC and OCIA Christian Initiation Programs for children and adults.

Holy Rosary Church
Holy Rosary Church boasts a rich history of over 100 years, originally founded to serve the spiritual needs of the Italian-American immigrant community. Today, our mission as a faith community is to embrace and welcome all who walk through our doors. Following the example of Jesus, we are called not to be served, but to serve, dedicating ourselves to active ministry and sharing the gospel of hope with others. Holy Rosary is a vibrant, diverse, and joyful Catholic community, celebrating Mass in both English and Spanish.

St. Helen Catholic School
St. Helen school's extensive expertise in education is evident in our challenging curriculum and creative teaching approaches. We infuse Catholic faith into our teachings through prayer, religious classes, sacraments, mass, and conversations about moral principles. Our welcoming environment embraces non-Catholic families, with a representation of 35%.
